I decided to post my first two drabbles for the Drabble Me This: 2012 Valentine’s Day Challenge @ spuffy_wonder. Couldn't squeeze myself into those 100 words so I went with the 500 words option. Hope you like them. 8 more should come in 'till the 14th. ;)

Title: Lover’s Dream
Characters/Pairings: Buffy/Spike
Rating: G
Word count: 500
Summary: Post-Lover’s Walk. Buffy dreams of how it can be but is it too soon for her to tell Spike how it should be?
Disclaimer: Own? I own nothing!

Buffy sat up in her bed, tearing herself from the dream she already knew she wouldn’t forget in the morning or any morning after it. She shuddered and wrapped her arms around herself. She had gone to bed just a few hours after breaking up with Angel, resigned to the fact that he will haunt her dreams. She hadn’t, even for a second, expected another vampire, brought in what felt like the longest Slayer dream she had ever had. And what if it was true? She frowned. What if it wasn’t? Did she want all that? With Spike? No. Yes. Some of it. She sighed in frustration, running her hands through her hair. Suddenly she grabbed the closest piece of paper. She wasn’t the only one involved in this. He could at least share her confusion.

By the time the sun had risen she knew she wouldn’t be writing the semi-angry, confusing (see how you like it!) and demanding letter she had intended. She just wanted him back.

Spike clutched the steering wheel with one hand, the other yet had to let go of the letter he had received an hour ago. How the little minx had got her hands on his whereabouts he had no idea but right now that seemed like the least of his problems.

I want you.

With fear of sounding like the blonde Slayer herself he had to say ‘DUH!”. Of course, she wanted him. She wanted him almost as much as he wanted her. And it was so like the stubborn bitch to just realize that now when he had known it from the second he laid eyes on her dancing in the Bronze.

I need you.

Well, wasn’t that a nice thought. The Slayer in need of him. William the Bloody. Slayer of Slayers. This could get very interesting very quickly. He just had to make sure he wasn’t walking in on a “All you can stake!” party. Or that he was. Depended on how you took the word ‘stake’. He grinned.

I think… I might love you.

Yeah. He was really trying not to read that last part another hundred times. It was clearly a trap. It was clearly some twisted game of Angelus’. The pillock probably didn’t like his little speech in front of the Slayer. Most likely because it was the truth. And still a bloody awful poet dies a hard and slow death and Spike still hadn’t managed to kill his own. So he still had to tear the letter in half.

I want you. I need you. I think… I might love you.

Drag your stupid bleached ass back in Sunnydale right now!

Buffy (gotta figure out if there should be an ‘yours’ in there)

He told himself he was going because of the first sentence. He feared he was going because of the second one. And he bloody well knew that he was going because of the third one.

And to tell her whose ass was stupid!

Title: Locked
Characters/Pairings: Buffy/Spike; Willow, Giles
Rating: G
Word count: 500
Summary: Post-Something Blue. Did Willow actually wait a whole week before messing up again?
Disclaimer: Own? I own nothing!

They were standing on opposite sides of the room, staring as each other like caged animals that needed to kill each other to escape. Or do something entirely different. The Slayer had her arms crossed protectively in front of her chest and her “I’d prefer to be breaking your nose right now” face. The vampire was leaning against the wall with an attitude that was designed to tell her that he couldn’t have cared less if she was boiling in hot water right in front of him.

Giles was in the middle, holding a brightly glowing crystal. Willow’s latest disaster. Apparently almost getting Spike and Buffy married hadn’t been enough. A week later they couldn’t be in separate rooms and were (once again!) occupying Giles’ living room. She was getting the lecture to end all lectures as soon as his ‘Buffy and Spike magicked to constantly be in the same room’ headache wore off. That is, if she hadn’t left the country by then.

“Giles!” the Slayer hissed.

“Yes, Buffy,” the man sighed. “I’m almost ready. Please, call upon your last resources of patience, would you?”

“I’ve been locked in a room with Spike for the last 6 hours. I called upon them about 5 hours and 59 minutes ago.” she gritted her teeth, as if the ordeal was causing her physical pain.

“Don’t know what you’re so bloody pissed off about, Slayer.” Spike looked her up and down, smirking. “You haven’t taken your eyes off me for the last 5 hours and 59 minutes. I’d say you aren’t suffering all that much.”

“The only reason I have forced myself to look at your pathetic ass is because I don’t enjoy being magically rushed into walls when you decide that you want to move said ass to another room!” she almost yelled, her hands forming two powerful fists at her sides.

“Oh, so it’s my ass that you have your sights on, eh?” Spike curled his tongue behind his teeth, getting a ridiculous amount of satisfaction from the way her jaw dropped at his words. “Could’ve just said so, pet. I’m sure we can arrange something as long as you say ‘pretty please, Spike’.”

“Enough!” Giles’ urgent voice stopped Buffy’s reply in the last second. “Say it now.”

“I” now it was Spike’s turn to look like he was in physical pain while looking at Buffy and uttering the phrase. “need you.”

“Iwantyou.” Buffy let out so quickly Giles looked at her sternly, fearing failure in breaking the spell.

“I” Spike swallowed, finishing their part in the reversal. “love you.”

The crystal stopped glowing.

“Thank God!” before the Watcher’s words were out one supernatural being flew out of the apartment while the other locked the bathroom door.

Willow rang an hour later.

“Giles!” her panic was almost sending sparks through the phone.

“Willow, I will deal with you tomorrow.”

“You don’t get it! The reversal spell won’t work. They have to mean the words for it to work.”

“Oh, dear.”
